Treść wiadomości: Fact check can high court justices be dual citizens of the United States and Israel?”

If true that’s no problem since „the Constitution protects dual citizenship.” (But the Constitution of Israel is not the most recent American version that has been adopted by the Jewish state. The Constitution of the Jewish State, and the American Constitution, as the U.S. Constitution is known, are different.)

In its statement the State of New York cited Israeli Supreme Court decisions that state that the U.S. Constitution protects dual citizenship, thus denying New York State’s claims. The Supreme Court decision, Jacoben v. Mandel and Zivotofsky v. Mandel, both in 2011, held that the U.S. Constitution does not require a dual citizen to live in the other’s nation while also ruling that Jews, having a „moral duty to live in the land of Israel and serve therein,” have that duty to do so.

The Justice Department also called that ruling „a longstanding legal tradition that the Supreme Court has long considered and applied with significant and unqualified consensus.” The Justice Department did not make any mention that the current Supreme Court is dominated by non-Jews.

Also, in that same statement, the state of New York cited that it does not want to violate its state constitution that says the Constitution of Israel should be read as the laws of the Jewish people and not as the laws of the state. This, despite Supreme Court decisions in Israel and New York State that have held that the laws of the state should remain under the Jewish law.

A brief description of the facts on this issue of dual citizenship in Israel will probably do this:

As mentioned above, two different legal doctrines hold that a person who is born in Israel and goes on to become a United States citizen through naturalization is not an Israeli citizen under the U.S. Constitution.

A: The U.S. Constitution says: „All persons born or naturalized in the United States or any place subject to its jurisdiction are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”

B: Israeli law says that there is no distinction between Israelis and foreign citizens of Israel.

According to the Israeli Embassy: „As a result of these conflicting legal interpretations, Israeli law does not recognize Israeli citizenship. This means that citizens of other countries can obtain New York State identification cards, but that only Israel citizens of New York State can be issued ID cards under the law in that country.”

C: Israel also has „a dual citizenship law that requires dual status when both parents are Israeli citizens.”

D: The State of New York maintains a dual citizenship law that does not require dual citizenship to be made.

E: The State of New York says its policy is not t

Teen admits stabbing man in back on school bus is 'wrong’.

The 22-year-old allegedly stabbed a man in his back before fleeing police in the centre of the nation’s capital.

Footage emerged on Wednesday evening showing him walking on the floor of a bus in Central London, the Evening Standard reported.

He is then seen with the victim lying on the floor.

Officers then appear to struggle with the suspect as he flees the building.

They could be seen shouting and trying to detain him as others hold him down.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman told the Evening Standard: „It is believed this was a knife incident involving a man, who sustained injuries to his right cheek.

„The officer involved was taken to hospital by ambulance for examination and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

„Officers received a report of a stabbing and are now trying to establish the identity of the victim.”

One student was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary after the incident, where he remains in an induced coma.

The man was described as being a slim, white man aged between 22 and 25, with long dark hair in two strands.

He was wearing a dark tracksuit top, a white shirt, blue jeans and gold watch.

Detectives said they are not treating the incident as terror-related.

Another man, who did not want to be named, told the Standard: „We saw him on the floor and ran to him. He’s lying there in the bus, bleeding and he was very, very frightened and he’s screaming. He was screaming for help.

„The man looked very shaken up and it took a while for a police officer to approach him.

„One of the guys just ran over to help him and that’s what I saw.”

Anyone with information about this incident or those who witnessed it should call police on 101 quoting reference 19 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
